Walking
The Sheep's Head Way is an excellent network of waymarked walks, going around the peninsula with cross-routes and loop walks in addition.
You can access the Sheep's Head Way from the farm ( nr waymark 216 ), there are several cross-routes locally, offering several days of superb walking (we can provide picnics and transport), also explore our 36 acres of habitat at your leisure, check out our walking page.
Cycling
The Sheep's Head WayPeninsula has a well-marked cycle route, it starts at Ballylickey, goes all around the peninsula, and finishes at Ballydehob.
Bicycles can be hired from Nigel's Bike Shop, in Bantry tel 027 52657.
Our Bothy makes an excellent place to stop en route to rest, recover and explore!
Fishing
There are many sites for rod fishing from rocks / local piers etc.
Exploring
From Schull and Baltimore there are boat services to the islands in Roaring Water Bay and around Fastnet Light.
Sea kayaking and excellent whale-watching trips are available from Union Hall.
Visit our neighbouring Mizen and Beara Peninsulas, also inland to Gougane Barra and the Priests Leap.
